This month, besides all the daily events at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia and our external venues, we will be gearing up for our annual Easter special… Danish Larder orders!


What is Danish Larder?

Danish Larder consists of our most popular items from our ‘Danish twist’. These are items that you may see featured in one way or another throughout our seasonal menus, such as gravlax (dill-cured salmon), frikadellar (pork meatballs) and leverpostej (liver terrine). They are made to order by our chefs in our commercial kitchen, then packaged ready for you to take home and share with family and friends. This also provides you with an opportunity to taste a little of what Blond has to offer from our classics and a fraction of the normal price!


When is Danish Larder available?

Each year, Danish Larder is available at both Easter and Christmas. Throughout the year, special requests can be made also, and if we have stock, we will be more than happy to accommodate!


How is Danish Larder ordered?

The order form is emailed out to you, and all you need to do is simply fill out your order (complete with all your details), and return it to the specified email address. A reply email will be sent to you to confirm your order has been received, and then all you need to do is pick it up from our commercial kitchen!


Tips for your Danish Larder pick-up

Here are a few quick tips to make your Danish Larder pick-up quick and easy:

  • Write clearly and complete the form – illegible or partially completed forms make it difficult for us to fill you Danish Larder list, so please make sure you fill out all sections before emailing back your form.
  • Get your order in quickly – Do not leave your Danish Larder order to the cut-off date, we do not want you to miss out!
  • Be prepared – if you are ordering a sizeable amount, try to bring a Styrofoam box for us to put all your Danish delights in. This will not only help to keep it cool for the drive home, but also make it much easier to carry!
  • Order a back up – we often find that after sharing Danish Larder with friends and family, it is all gone! Why not order an extra serve of frikadellar to place in the freezer? It will last for up 6 months in the freezer, and is handy for those nights when you don’t feel like cooking or when those surprise guests pop around (perfect for adding a bit of flair to your next mezze platter)!
